We source our Hoop Pine products as a recognised distributor to both Austral Ply & Matilda Veneer. Both companies work in closely with architects, interior designers, project managers, to achieve a very high standard of quality and appearance. Hoop Pine or Araucaria Cunninghamii as its botanical name provides a finish like no other.
Hoop Pine is commonly a clear grade finish with low amounts of knots or imperfections, being very suitable for shop fitters, cabinet makers, and the general public.
Both Matilda and Austral are committed to being a responsible, future-focused businesses, sourcing their logs from sustainable Australian grown forests.
A unique, appearance-grade lightweight plywood ideal for use in projects where weight or cost are key considerations. Matilda Lite is an appearance-grade, lightweight plywood suitable for use in commercial projects. Its lightweight makes it ideal for use in caravans, trains, boats and other projects where excess weight is undesirable. Easy-to-machine and ivory-white in colour, Matilda Lite is a cost-effective plywood without compromising quality and project aesthetics. Its appearance grade makes it suitable for use without veneer, unlike most other lower quality lightweight plywoods on the market.

Fireply is a lightweight, fire-retardant plywood ideal for interior cladding use in commercial and residential buildings. Matilda Fireply is a plywood building material suitable for all Class 2-9 buildings as defined in the Building Code of Australia (BCA). The dramatic increase in use of Matilda Fireply over the past 12 months is largely because, in simple terms, it ‘ticks boxes’ that other products don’t. It is certified as Group 2 with reference to AS/NZS3837-1998 and AS5637.1-2015 for the use as a wall or ceiling lining. Fireply has also been assessed against AS1530.3 which is the simultaneous determination of ignitability, flame propagation, heat release and smoke release. This testing makes it a suitable product to use in specific applications outside of walls and ceilings covered by other testing.
Matilda Fireply, which is 100% PEFC Certified, has a light-coloured appearance and, while having a ‘B Grade’ face, is generally aesthetically pleasing although defects such as splits, small sound knots, and some discolourations are not uncommon. Matilda Fireply is used regularly in both applications where designers wish to highlight the natural rotary veneer face of the plywood and also where the sheets are used internally or covered with other material meaning the plywood is unseen yet provides the project with both ease-of-use and installation and the ‘tick in the box’ for the fire engineer or assessor certifying the completed works. Matilda Fireply can be painted, stained or lacquered (with the exception of nitrocellulose lacquers) without affecting the Group 2 rating.

Particleboard Flooring is a well-established and well performed product in the Australian home building industry. This wide use and acceptance has led to an increasing number of enquiries from engineers, architects and designers about Particleboard Flooring for commercial and industrial applications.
Particleboard Flooring provides major cost savings through its economy and through lighter construction allowing reduced foundation cost. Installation times are reduced since dry trades only are involved. Particleboard floors are also more comfortable for people standing for long periods and offer better wearing characteristics than some other flooring materials for wheeled traffic (especially small wheels) because of the dense surface layer.
Floorboard is a premium product, produced by D&R Henderson for house construction sheet flooring. It is tongue and grooved for easy installation and engineered to withstand the tough Australian elements while the house is constructed. Additional wax is injected throughout Floorboard, so any new saw cut edges will still maintain robust water resistant properties.
Floorboard is produced on a committed line, whose only function is to produce particleboard flooring, reducing variation in manufacturing conditions and product performance.
Floorboard is available as General Purpose (GP) or Termite Treated (TT).

Plywood is made by gluing layers of wood veneers together, providing excellent strength and flexibility. Particle board is made from compressed wood fibres and resin, making it cheaper but less durable than plywood.
Ply and board wood can be cut using a circular saw, jigsaw, or table saw. Ensure the blade is sharp and appropriate for the wood type to achieve clean, precise cuts.
Plywood can be used outdoors if it is specifically treated or rated for exterior use, while particle board is generally not suitable for outdoor use due to its susceptibility to moisture.
